Privacy policy

Short version: HatScripts has no accounts, no analytics scripts and no server-side processing of your input. Everything you type, paste or upload stays in your browser tab.

What we collect

Nothing personal. There is no sign-up, no contact form, no newsletter and no advertising or analytics SDK embedded in the pages. We do not build profiles, set marketing cookies or share data with third parties, because we never receive it in the first place.

What stays in your browser

Some features remember your choices using localStorage on your own device:

  • Favourited userscripts and flags
  • Your install/copy activity history for userscripts
  • Blog posts you have already read
  • Tool preferences such as export size and last-used options

This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing site data in your browser deletes it permanently. Several hubs also let you export or wipe it directly from the interface.

Tool input

Converters, formatters, hashers and the flag/icon exporters all execute as JavaScript inside your tab. Text you paste into a dev tool is not uploaded, logged or cached on a server.

Hosting and logs

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider that may keep short-lived, standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested path) for security and abuse prevention. We do not query, enrich or sell those logs.

External links

Install links, source repositories and reference documentation point to third-party sites such as GitHub or Greasy Fork. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Children and consent

Because no personal data is collected, no consent banner or age gate is required to use the tools.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, for example if an optional, privacy-respecting analytics tool is added, the updated date at the top of this page will change and the change will be noted on the blog.
